The Medical Scribe Internship is a structured educational opportunity designed for students pursuing careers in healthcare. Under close supervision interns gain hands-on exposure to clinical documentation patient encounters and provider workflow in a high-volume specialty clinic.
Primary Objective
The Medical Scribe Intern supports Providers by assisting with real-time clinical documentation and clinic workflow under supervision while developing foundational clinical and professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Accompany Providers during patient encounters
- Assist with real-time clinical documentation in the EHR
- Support completion of visit summaries medications and histories
- Ensure documentation accuracy and completeness
- Participate in training and feedback sessions
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Learning Objectives

Qualifications
Education Requirements
High school diploma required. Current enrollment in a healthcare-related undergraduate program preferred.
