JOB DESCRIPTION:To assist the principal in ensuring the well-being and academic success of students through collaboration with families school staff and outside agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:Administrative certificate preferred evidence of participation in a leadership program required. Bilingual preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and assist with monitoring the educational and behavioral performance of all students to ensure academic success.
Assist with the documentation process required by federal law to maintain time and effort logs.
Assist in the development of intervention plans to help students become successful in school.
Coordinate services with the school resource officer and outside agencies to provide an environment which supports the factors that increase student achievement (i.e. safety attendance homeless medical and dental programs).
Communicate student progress to parents and provide significantly extended learning activities for the home environment.
Plan and implement outreach programs to enhance student academic performance and create parental involvement and support.
Coordinate extended learning opportunities for students and families (i.e. extended library and computer lab hours Saturday programs and field trips).
Develop activities that include non-parent members of the community as valued members of the school and community partnership.
Assist with responsibilities and documentation processes which ensure the growth and development of all staff members to achieve desired student academic outcomes.
Continue to grow professionally through appropriate staff development opportunities and obtain a minimum of fifteen (15) clock hours of staff development each year.
Perform other duties as assigned.
