Senior Control Systems Engineer - Saunders Automation Brisbane

Saunders Automation is a specialist electrical and control systems engineering company with deep expertise in PLC SCADA DCS and RTU projects across multiple industries. As we grow were looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join our Brisbane team.

About the Role

Youll provide industrial control system support (remote and onsite) and contribute to full project delivery from concept and detailed design through to FAT SAT commissioning and client handover. Work spans a range of industries with mostly office-based and local site work.

What Youll Do

• Design develop and program control systems across PLC HMI and SCADA platforms (Siemens Rockwell Schneider Electric Emerson and others)
• Deliver functional design specs control philosophy documentation and OT network design
• Execute FAT SAT and commissioning plans
• Provide technical support and mentoring to the wider team
• Manage work to Australian Standards and company procedures

What Youll Bring

Essential:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with industrial control systems programming
• White/Blue Card (Construction WHS Induction)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter attitude
• Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel occasionally

Desirable:

• experience with industrial networking cybersecurity or HMI/SCADA platforms such as Ignition Citect WinCC or FactoryTalk.
