About the Role
The Service Department Business Development Center (BDC) staff member is the initial contact for Customers seeking to schedule an appointment with or ask questions of our dealerships Service Department. The primary goal is to set an accurate quality appointment that enables the dealership to meet the Customers expectations while sounding helpful and courteous at all times.
Position Details
Department: Harr Auto Group Service Business Development Center (BDC)
Brands Supported: Harr Toyota & Harr CDJR
Reports To: Service BDC Supervisor / BDC Manager
Schedule: Full-time Rotating schedule including some Saturdays
Compensation: Hourly base performance-based incentives
Location: Worcester MA
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and emails professionally and deliver timely solutions
- Respond to internet leads within 15 minutes
- Book daily appointments for the sales department
- Make a minimum of 15 outbound calls per hour for customer follow-up
- Log all interactions vehicle data and customer information accurately in CRM
- Collaborate with Sales and Service to resolve issues and escalate when needed
- Guide customers through the online sales process
- Stay current on product knowledge and company policies
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings
What Were Looking For
- Strong verbal communication skills professional warm and confident on the phone
- Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage a high volume of outreach across two brands simultaneously
- Customer-first attitude with a genuine desire to help people stay on top of their vehicle maintenance
- Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced BDC environment
- Prior BDC call center service scheduling or customer service experience preferred
- Automotive or dealership service experience a plus but not required we will train the right candidate
- Comfortable learning and working within multiple brand contexts (Toyota and CDJR)
- Familiarity with CRM platforms is a plus (DriveCentric experience a bonus)
- Reliable punctual and a strong team player
