Job Summary

Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Reports to: Store Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Division: Monroe NC

Summary:

Helps with all incoming calls and customers. Assists the Outside Sales team in the sales process.

Job Duties:

Takes customer calls and responds quickly andefficiently
Assistswalk-in customers with selections andpurchases
Assists Outsides Salesteam
Purchases hardware items
Processes special orders
Maintains in-store organization of merchandise andworkspace
Responsible for lock keying

Handles material take-offs
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

Written and Oral Communication Skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook; POS System; Internet Software
Ability to speak effectively to customers and otheremployees
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rulesoperatingand maintenance instructions and proceduremanuals
Ability towriteroutine reports andcorrespondence
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts proportions percentages area circumference andvolume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra andgeometry
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in written oral or diagramform
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Prior sales experience building material experience or construction background is preferred.

Work Environment:

While performing this jobs duties the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee isfrequentlyrequired to stand and walk. The employeeis occasionally required tosit use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

While performing this jobs duties the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
