Job Summary

Position Summary
This position serves as Executive Assistant to Energy Services. The positions primary purpose is to organize plan and provide administrative support to the Executive Director (ED) of Energy Services and to act on the EDs behalf when requested. This position is the right hand to the ED of Energy Services. Additionally this position will provide administrative support to the entire Energy Services administration group. This includes the Associate Director Water Wastewater and Stormwater personnel and several other positions. This requires good judgment great organizational skills and experience in planning to accomplish goals. This position must align with and support the goals of the Energy Services by action and example in a fashion that reflects the financial value of services provided by the department. Performance of assigned duties is essential to ensure that responsive quality service is provided to the University UNC Hospitals community and to the outside utility companies supplying electricity water and sewer services and natural gas to the University. The incumbent is expected to take the initiative to assume responsibilities that will relieve the administrative burden on the ED as well as other administrative staff. This position requires a high degree of analytical complexity. On a daily basis incoming requests are constantly received by mail fax phone email or personal requests that must be prioritized responded to or referred to the Director or others. Reports must be prepared by compiling data gathered from various sources. These must be skillfully analyzed in order to produce correct data.
