Our Health Safety and Wellbeing team is seeking a Senior Safety Partner to provide expert strategic and operational Work Health and Safety (WHS) advice across the Department. This role partners closely with leaders and frontline teams to manage complex and highrisk WHS matters and to strengthen a proactive safety culture across diverse operational environments.

In this role you will deliver highlevel WHS advice and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders supporting informed decisionmaking and compliance with legislation and standards. You will lead the development implementation and review of WHS policies procedures and programs manage WHS risk and incident response activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Working in partnership with client groups across the Department you will influence and support the implementation of effective WHS management systems contribute to strategic projects and help embed consistent bestpractice safety approaches across a range of business areas.

About You

You are an experienced WHS professional with sound knowledge of work health and safety legislation and Australian and international standards. You bring strong analytical and problemsolving skills and are confident providing advice on complex sensitive or highrisk WHS matters. With experience working across varied operational environments you are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with handson support.

A strong communicator and trusted partner you build effective relationships with senior leaders managers and frontline teams. You can influence outcomes navigate competing priorities and remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Your collaborative approach sound judgement and commitment to continuous improvement enable you to contribute to a highperforming WHS function and a safer healthier workplace.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian and International standards.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or related discipline and/or relevant experience
  • Current drivers licence and the ability to travel to client locations across NSW.
