The Allure Groupis looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to join the team at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn NY!

The Allure Group is a consortium of six rehabilitation centers across Brooklyn and Manhattan NY specializing in post-acute and sub-acute skilled nursing and rehabilitation. Responsibilities for Speech-Language Pathologist
- Prepare engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions with patients
- Provide counseling and consultations for new patients
- Work with SLP team and Registered Dieticians to determine safe diet
- Create goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challenges
- Prepare speech pathology equipment and exam room ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed
- Attend continuing education courses and work to advance personal knowledge and experience within the field
- Request and organize written authorization from patients involving specific follow up instructions and goals for improvement
- Treat residents according to a treatment plan approved by the attending physician
- Communicate with Supervisor and other health team members regarding resident progress problems and plans
- Record clinical documentation according to the accepted regulatory facility and professional guidelines; this includes daily notes weekly progress notes and monthly recertification documents
Speech-Language Pathologist Requirements
- NYS License
- A Masters degree in speech-language pathology
Preferred
- Proficiency in Optima HCS
