Role Summary:

The Commercial Loan Officer II is responsible for originating a profitable portfolio of commercial loans with the overall objective of maintaining and growing its asset quality and to develop new and existing business relationships.

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Meet assigned sales goals and objectives. Participating in business development activities that promote the increase of business loans and deposits for the Credit Union
  2. Call on member businesses to expand existing relationships creating member loyalty to the Credit Union
  3. Accurately process business loan applications in a timely manner
  4. Complete annual credit reviews of member business loans to assess the overall financial condition and members ability to re-pay the loan
  5. Make credit approval recommendations to the appropriate approval authority that promotes safe and sound credit underwriting and prudent lending practices
  6. Provide guidance to the commercial loan processor in the completion of all loan documents and business loan closings
  7. Assist in collecting past due loans maintain a 30-day delinquency rate of .50% of less and a charge-off rate of no more than .50% of your loan portfolio
  8. Must understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities
  9. Attend credit union training sessions conferences or seminars as approved by awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities
  10. Monitor existing loan portfolio to ensure credit quality and regulatory compliance
  11. Maintain up-to-date credit files including current financial information deemed necessary and in accordance with the business loan agreement
  12. Assist members with any business loan-related questions and concerns
  13. Maintain an understanding of the Credit Union Policies and member business lending operating procedures and guidelines
  14. Demonstrate support of corporate values mission and vision. Perform job duties within these standards and in accordance with the guidelines of our bylaws and regulations
  15. Maintain and protect all sensitive data utilizing the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism. Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge
  16. Display mutual respect trust and dignity acting in the best interest of the Credit Union. Lead by example by displaying solid ethics and integrity at all times

About You:

  1. To provide knowledgeable professional friendly service to all members
  2. To maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products services policies and procedures
  3. To participate in and support a team environment
  4. To effectively manage your time that promotes responsiveness to credit requests and other duties that may be assigned
  5. To analyze the financial management and economic risks related to member business loan requests
  6. To possess and display excellent member service attributes
  7. To maintain a positive and professional image through effective verbal and written communication


Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  1. Equivalent to a four (4) year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business trade school or equivalent experience
  2. Five (5) to eight (8) years of commercial lending experience or related experience analyzing business financial statements and assessing the financial position of a viable business entity
  3. Must possess excellent communication and public relations skills
  4. Proficiency with standard office equipment MS Office and Outlook software financial analysis software and other commercial lending platforms
  5. Some travel may be required to fulfill duties career development and/or responsibilities
  6. A valid Drivers License is required

Full Salary Range:

$100713.19-$187038.79

*While our full pay range is listed most new team members typically start between the minimum and midpoint based on their experience and qualifications. This approach gives room to grow within the role as your career progresses with us!
