Position Overview
The Finance Business Partner (BP) acts as a strategic advisor within the Finance / Controlling function bridging financial insight with operational decision-making.
This role is suited to a commercially minded finance professionalideally CPA-qualifiedwith strong FP&A or controlling experience and a solid understanding of the logistics or transportation industry.
Working closely with senior stakeholders the Finance BP will drive business performance support strategic growth initiatives and strengthen financial governance across the organization. Experience in company integration or post-merger environments would be highly advantageous given the evolving structure of the business.
From a personal profile perspective we are seeking a strong team player who can apply a rigorous control-oriented CPA mindset when required while remaining flexible and pragmatic in navigating different business situations and stakeholder needs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner with operational and commercial teams to drive financial performance and support business growth
- Provide financial insight and challenge to support decision-making across the business
Performance Management & Reporting
- Monitor business performance through dashboards and KPIs
- Deliver clear data-driven insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecast cycles
- Ensure alignment with regional and global financial targets
Profitability & Cost Analysis
- Conduct detailed margin analysis at product customer and business unit level
- Identify areas for improvement and support implementation of corrective actions
Commercial & Financial Controls
- Develop and implement pricing and costing frameworks
- Ensure adherence to internal controls compliance standards and governance policies
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key finance interface for senior leadership and commercial teams
- Influence and challenge stakeholders to drive optimal business outcomes
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in FP&A financial controlling or finance business partnering within a global organization
- CPA or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred
- Experience within logistics transportation or supply chain industries is highly advantageous
- Exposure to company integration or post-merger environments is a strong plus
- Strong financial modeling skills and experience with BI / digital reporting tools
- Fluent Japanese and business-level English (preferred)
