SCREENWRITER // EAGLE BROOK CHURCH

JOB OBJECTIVES

• Develops engaging biblically accurate scripts for the Kids Media series and other creative projects ensuring content connects with elementary-aged audiences
• Collaborates closely with Media Producers and the Kids Ministry team contributing to all phases of production to bring stories to life
• Researchestrends in childrens media and refines script development processes to ensure high-quality innovative content that supports the churchs mission
• Performs work requiring originality and talent

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Writes and develops 34-38 biblically accurate engaging and age-appropriate episodes annually for the Kids Media series collaborating with Media Producers to keep content organized relevant and aligned with project goals
• Supports production process by participating in media team meetings providing on-set support and ensuring the final product reflects script intent
• Stays current on trends in childrens media and the interests of elementary-age audiences to inform content creation and inspire creative ideas
• Develops and nurtures relationships with the Kids Ministry team to ensure scripts align with ministry needs and effectively engage the target audience
• Enhances script development processes by identifying opportunities to improve script quality language and workflow across the Creative Team ensuring content is clear engaging and aligned with the teams standards
• Adapts and supports team needs by taking on additional responsibilities as assigned supporting the evolving creative goals of the team and church

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assists with ideation by participating in Creative Team brainstorming sessions for projects outside Kids Media when additional input is needed
• Offers script or content feedback for other ministries or projects when requested acting as a creative resource for the team
• Helps with production logistics by providing occasional on-set support with minor tasks like setup organization and helping the production team during shoots
• Assists with one-off creative projects big weekends promotional content and storytelling initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

• Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook Churchs 9 core beliefs
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years or more of related experience
• Expert skills in narrative storytelling and creative screenwriting including Celtx
• Proficient skills in research and audience awareness video production process time management and organization and collaboration and teamwork

• Regular communicating with others to exchange information

• Occasional ascending or descending ladders stairs scaffolding ramps poles and the like
