Our programs for children families and adults serve more than 25000 people every year. As the need for our services grows Catholic Charities is working to adapt and respond with strategies that prevent poverty meet basic needs in times of crisis and create pathways to greater stability.

WAGE:$66000 - $72000/annually


JOB SUMMARY:


Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Individual Giving the Annual Giving and Stewardship Officer manages a mid-level portfolio of donors who make gifts of $1000-$9999. They are responsible for stewarding and cultivating a portfolio of 500-700 donors. They work closely with other gift officers to effectively cultivate existing and new donor relationships. The person in this role will have the option of working fully in the office or hybrid remote.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Establish and maintain relationships with donors to retain and increase their giving and deepen their engagement with Catholic Charities Twin Cities
  2. Solicit gifts of $1000 from a portfolio of qualified donors using direct mail and other tactics
  3. Provide prompt meaningful gift stewardship
  4. Invite donors to make gifts in their will or estate plans
  5. Use Salesforce database to manage donor relationships and record giving and relationship data
  6. Collaborate with Major Giving and Annual Giving staff to move donors through gift pipeline
  7. Assist with various individual giving projects as needed
  8. Represent the mission of Catholic Charities with the highest integrity

Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:

  • Two (2) years of experience in a customer-facing role assisting people with consumer or financial decisions. This could look like: fundraising sales financial literacy collections retail or other roles
  • Strong philanthropic interest in and passion for the mission of Catholic Charities Twin Cities and an eagerness to share enthusiasm with individual donors
  • Mature judgement initiative and the ability to make independent and effective decisions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Comfortable talking on the phone with new people
  • Ability to work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to effectively and kindly navigate conversations with people they disagree with
  • Ability to travel within the Twin Cities region to make personal visits to donors and prospects using their own transportation
  • Willingness to work occasional early mornings nights and/or weekends for events and donor meetings
  • Has the ability to work with diverse and/or low-income populations including those who may be experiencing homelessness unstable housing and/or mental illness.
