Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Outpatient
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 15:00)
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Medford OR
Job Description:
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our outpatient facility. This role offers the opportunity to work with patients on their rehabilitation journey under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans as directed by a physical therapist.
- Work with patients to help improve mobility relieve pain and prevent disability following injury or surgery.
- Educate patients on techniques for improving strength and endurance.
- Observe patient progress and report feedback to the supervising physical therapist.
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with facility protocols.
- Demonstrate proper techniques and offer assistance to patients as needed.
- Ensure a clean and safe treatment environment for patients.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant or first-time traveler with relevant experience.
- Licensure: Current PTA license in the state of Oregon (or pending).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy procedures and modalities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication skills to educate and support patients.
- Experience using EPIC for patient documentation is preferred.
