We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our outpatient facility. This role offers the opportunity to work with patients on their rehabilitation journey under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans as directed by a physical therapist.
Work with patients to help improve mobility relieve pain and prevent disability following injury or surgery.
Educate patients on techniques for improving strength and endurance.
Observe patient progress and report feedback to the supervising physical therapist.
Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with facility protocols.
Demonstrate proper techniques and offer assistance to patients as needed.
Ensure a clean and safe treatment environment for patients.
Qualifications:
Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant or first-time traveler with relevant experience.
Licensure: Current PTA license in the state of Oregon (or pending).
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of physical therapy procedures and modalities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent communication skills to educate and support patients.
Experience using EPIC for patient documentation is preferred.
