Location: HealthWorks / MonHealth Morgantown WV
Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift with Weekend & Holiday Rotations
HealthWorks in partnership with MonHealth is seeking a full-time West Virginialicensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our inpatient acute care team at our 188-bed hospital in Morgantown WV. Immediate hire available. Previous acute care experience is preferred but new graduate PTAs are encouraged to apply.You can start on a temporary WV PTA license.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large collaborative multidisciplinary teamand work with adult and geriatric populationsin a fast-paced acute care environment.
Position Highlights
- Treat adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient acute care setting
- Collaborate with therapists physicians and interdisciplinary staff
- Assist with patient evaluation treatment implementation and discharge planning
- Full-time role 40 hours per week
Schedule Details
- Typical schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- Weekend and holiday coverage required on a rotating basis
- The facility operates daily excluding Christmas

Responsibilities
- Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
- Implement with minimal supervision high quality physical therapy services for patients caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
- Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
Qualifications
- College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
- Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
- Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
- CPR certification
