Process Technology Engineer

The ideal candidate will manage technology and lead major projects to improve product performance efficiency and costs in the automated Non-grain Oriented Electrical Steel (NOES) plant supporting ArcelorMittal Calverts business goals.

The Basics:

• Bachelors degree in engineering field
• 3 years rolling mill technology
• 5 years of industrial experience
• Demonstrated understanding of control systems instrumentation process models (Process Management fundamentals)
• Experience in NOES Non-Oriented Electrical Steels product and reversing cold mill (RCM)
• Demonstrates strong decision-making analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic understanding of mass flow in the cold rolling process
• Strong Teamwork and a hands-on working approach
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook Excel Teams Word PowerPoint)
• Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to senior management

The Extras:

• Background in all major steel mill processes and products preferred with in-depth knowledge offinishing processes and technology

WHAT YOULL BE DOING

• Provide technical support for the NOES RCM process
• Responsible for regular reporting of NOES RCM performance to Technology Manager
• Work directly with NOES RCM Operations team to support improvement initiatives
• Perform in-depth analysis and investigations of NOES RCM performance
• Develop and implement special/improved inspection and testing methods
• Drive functionality and performance improvements of process models/control systems (Flatness control model Rolling model etc.)
