Job Summary
Job Summary (Senior GIS Analyst Digital Transformation Rail Transportation)
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert supporting the modernization of real estate and Right-of-Way (ROW) records for a major rail client.
- Convert complex legal documents as-built drawings and historical agreements into high-accuracy enterprise GIS datasets.
- Georeference and digitize real estate agreements deeds and engineering documents into the enterprise GIS environment.
- Analyze and interpret complex legal descriptions land surveys and as-built drawings to accurately map spatial boundaries and property rights.
- Perform rigorous quality assurance spatial validation attribute reviews and quality control checks to ensure data consistency and precision.
- Collaborate with internal real estate legal and engineering departments to research and resolve spatial discrepancies.
- Create comprehensive metadata and maintain digital linkages between GIS features and original source records for auditability.
- Lead and manage multiple data-centric projects independently ensuring timely delivery and high accuracy.
- Utilize advanced expertise in Esri software (ArcGIS Pro 3.x ArcGIS Enterprise 10.x).
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced high-accountability environment.
- Preferred: Experience in railroad utility or large-scale infrastructure ROW management.
- Education: Bachelors degree in GIS Geography Computer Science Urban Planning or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in geospatial data development and maintenance.
