Location: Shiprock NM 87420

Pay Rate: $50 per hour plus $1246 per week for travel stipends
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM 5 shifts per week (Monday through Friday).

Contract Length: 6 months with the option to extend

Benefits: $5.09 per hour for Health and Welfare 10 days PTO Accrued sick days and 11 Paid Holidays.

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Outpatient Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated team at an Indian Health Service (IHS) clinic in Shiprock NM. Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience

• Active unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state or territory)

• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA)

  • ACLS (AHA)

  • PALS (AHA)

• Drivers License

• Strong clinical and communication skills in pediatric outpatient care

Responsibilities:

Perform patient intake assessments and triage for pediatric patients (0 18 years).
Administer vaccines medications and treatments with pediatric dosing accuracy.
Conduct vital signs developmental screenings and routine health evaluations.
Assist with procedures including blood draws and diagnostic testing.
Develop and implement individualized care plans for acute and chronic conditions (e.g. asthma diabetes).
Educate families on nutrition safety growth and disease management.
Provide guidance on behavioral and mental health concerns such as ADHD.
Collaborate with pediatricians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
Maintain accurate documentation and support efficient clinic operations.
Deliver compassionate family-centered care that builds trust and comfort.
