Disaster Recovery Program Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
Support the DR Program Manager in the development implementation and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Program (DRP). This role is dedicated to assisting in the refinement of restoration processes and documentation to quickly respond to security-driven technology interruptions and to streamline recovery efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program Support: Assist the DRPM in revising the DR program developing standards/guidelines and communicating DR recovery expectations to IT teams.
- Process Audit & Refinement: Assist the DRPM in auditing updating and streamlining DR/BCP restoration processes and documentation to cover the increased likelihood of security-driven events.
- Automation Support: Support the DRPMs initiatives to standardize simplify and automate DR processes assisting with documentation and implementation of automated recovery solutions.
- Testing & Documentation: Coordinate DR tests meticulously track results and ensure DR plans are updated upon application change and on an annual basis.
- Data Repository Management: Set up and maintain the DR data repository (e.g. using the Parasolutions tool).
- Project Coordination: Work in the Engineering team to support project activities and apply project management tools (JIRA CONFLUENCE etc) to track work.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Academic Training: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Business or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Specific Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail strong aptitude for technology and proven ability to deal with ambiguity and generate specific outcomes.
Technical Skills: Experience using project management tools and Google suite (Docs Drive Sheets).
Work Experience: We are looking for a process-oriented candidate who has spent at least 3-5 years in a Technical Operations environment. They must have a track record of owning documentation and facilitating tests between different departments.
