Job Summary
Schedule: 40 hours per week 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday
Department: Day Center PACE of Southwest Michigan Niles MI
What Youll Do:
The CNA certified Participant Care Assistant (PCA) in the day center provides essential care and assistance to participants enrolled in the PACE program. You will work closely with the team to deliver compassionate person-centered care and support activities of daily living. From assisting with ADLs to providing comfort and companionship your work will make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.

What Youll Do:
The CNA certified Participant Care Assistant (PCA) in the day center provides essential care and assistance to participants enrolled in the PACE program. You will work closely with the team to deliver compassionate person-centered care and support activities of daily living. From assisting with ADLs to providing comfort and companionship your work will make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Hands-On Care Assist with personal care (ADLs) like bathing grooming dressing and toileting.
- Support Mealtime Help participants enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health.
- Keep Things Moving Support mobility including turning positioning and safe transfers.
- Perform Vital Checks Measure and record vital signs weight and intake/output.
- Maintain Comfort & Care Keep rooms tidy cozy and well-stocked with essentials.
- Provide Responsive Support Respond with kindness and compassion.
- Monitor with Watchful Eyes Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.
- Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise:
- CNA certification required.
- One (1) year of prior experience with frail or elderly individuals aiding with daily living activities.
- Valid Michigan Drivers License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR or BLS certification or willing to obtain.
- Ability to work independently multitask and operate as part of an interdisciplinary team.
