Job Duties

The Patient Transport Driver will transport individuals from CCCA to the community for the purpose of discharge and for discharge related community activities such as placement visits. Monitors patient behavior during transport to ensure they are calm and secure. Collaborate with social work staff to coordinate transportation schedules. Provide feedback to appropriate staff member (medical nursing social work) regarding patient transport needs and concerns. Maintain the assigned vehicle to ensure it is kept clean operational and safe for patient transportation while using the vehicle. During times when not actively transporting a patient or coordinating a transportation will perform discharge related tasks and other duties as assigned by the Social Work Director.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to handle sensitive and emotionally charged situations with professionalism and empathy. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff. Knowledge of safety protocols including emergency situations and CPR. Ability to work independently manage time effectively and maintain a flexible schedule.

Additional Considerations

Previous experience in healthcare behavioral health or patient transport role is preferred
