UW Medicine Northwest Surgical Specialties and Hernia Center -has an outstanding opportunity for aPatient Services Specialist Supervisor.
WORK SCHEDULE:
100% FTE - 40 hours per week
Day shift
Mondays - Fridays 7:30am- 4:00pm
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist managers and physicians to develop and implement patient care systems
Identify and plan for staffing needs and proactively takes appropriate action
Prepare employee schedules and assign work to staff; evaluate daily workload workflow and adjust staff assignments accordingly
Effectively delegate manage change set expectations and goals make decisions solve problems and model fairness and respect
Build relationships and fosters teamwork and collaboration to accomplish organizations goals
Identify quality benchmarks assess departmental performance and design improvement plans
Develop goals and objectives and maintains policies and procedures
Develop budget and monitor/control expenses to fit budget expectations
Improve department cost efficiency and productivity
Facilitate open communications and joint decision making with staff
Interview and select staff hires and promotions
Evaluate staff performance and competency; coach/discipline/discharge to improve individual and departmental performance
Collaborate with management to develop departmental budget monitors data to evaluate department productivity maintains a cost-effective department
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelors Degree in a medically related or public relations field
ANDone year experience in a healthcare setting which includes lead responsibility or Equivalent education/experience.
