Job Description

UW Medicine Northwest Surgical Specialties and Hernia Center -has an outstanding opportunity for aPatient Services Specialist Supervisor.

WORK SCHEDULE:

• 100% FTE - 40 hours per week

• Day shift

• Mondays - Fridays 7:30am- 4:00pm

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist managers and physicians to develop and implement patient care systems

• Identify and plan for staffing needs and proactively takes appropriate action

• Prepare employee schedules and assign work to staff; evaluate daily workload workflow and adjust staff assignments accordingly

• Effectively delegate manage change set expectations and goals make decisions solve problems and model fairness and respect

• Build relationships and fosters teamwork and collaboration to accomplish organizations goals

• Identify quality benchmarks assess departmental performance and design improvement plans

• Develop goals and objectives and maintains policies and procedures

• Develop budget and monitor/control expenses to fit budget expectations

• Improve department cost efficiency and productivity

• Facilitate open communications and joint decision making with staff

• Interview and select staff hires and promotions

• Evaluate staff performance and competency; coach/discipline/discharge to improve individual and departmental performance

• Collaborate with management to develop departmental budget monitors data to evaluate department productivity maintains a cost-effective department

REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelors Degree in a medically related or public relations field

• ANDone year experience in a healthcare setting which includes lead responsibility or Equivalent education/experience.
