Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team at Prisma Health. This position will involve working in a fast-paced hospital setting providing essential respiratory care services. The ideal candidate will be an experienced RRT with a strong ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory care treatments therapies and procedures in accordance with physician orders
• Perform diagnostic tests and manage patient ventilators and airway devices
• Assess monitor and adjust respiratory therapy treatments based on patient condition
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and outcomes
• Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory care and management
• Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate respiratory intervention
• Document all assessments interventions and outcomes accurately in the EMR system

Call and Shift Requirements:

• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
• Call Requirements:
  • Up to 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule (up to 4 call shifts per 13-week contract)
  • No more than one call shift in any given week
  • Call shift hours: 4:00 PM 8:00 PM (traveler is only on call during this time and will not be required to come in after 8:00 PM)
• Weekends: Required frequency will vary but typically no more than every other weekend

Required Certifications:

• RRT Registered Respiratory Therapist
• BLS Basic Life Support
• State License: Active SC state license required

Required Experience:

• 1 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Experience working in acute care and respiratory diagnostic settings
• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy practices including mechanical ventilation oxygen therapy and diagnostic tests
