Temporary Painter/Helper
Reports To:
Manufacturing Lead / Supervisor
Job Summary:
Perform industrial painting and touchup work in support of facility expansion projects. This role focuses on preparing surfaces and applying coatings to new structural components and equipment to maintain safety durability and appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting (cleaning sanding masking grinding minor repairs)
Paint and touch up new building structures including beams racks cranes and supports
Apply new coats of paint to heavy equipment such as forklifts and materialhandling equipment
Follow paint specifications safety procedures and facility standards
Complete required paint reports and documentation
Work safely around active shop construction and forklift traffic with minimal supervision
Communicate effectively with supervisors and internal teams
Qualifications:
Industrial or commercial painting experience preferred
Experience with structural steel or equipment painting a plus
Inorganic zinc or industrial coating experience preferred
Ability to wear a fullface respirator for extended periods
Ability to work independently and follow safety guidelines
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Ability to stand walk climb stairs and work at varying heights
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work overtime as needed
