Position Overview
A leading healthcare facility is seeking experienced LVN/LPN Pediatrics professionals to support a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED) including Pediatric ED coverage. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in an ED/Pediatric ED setting
Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the care team
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Assist physicians and RNs during examinations and procedures
Maintain accurate patient documentation and records
Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
Support patient and family education regarding treatment plans
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Recent Pediatric experience in a hospital setting required
Emergency Department (ED) or Pediatric ED experience preferred
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program
Licensure & Certifications (Required):
Active LPN/LVN License (State of New York or compact if applicable)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Additional Requirements
Strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills required
Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency care environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
