Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week
Shifts Available:
- Day Shift: 3x12 (11:00 AM 11:00 PM)
- Night Shift: 3x12 (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $54.94/hour
Weekly Gross Pay: $1977.84
Weekly Stipend: $1329.84
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Some holidays as needed
Work Setting: Onsite
Position Overview
A leading healthcare facility is seeking experienced LVN/LPN Pediatrics professionals to support a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED) including Pediatric ED coverage. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in an ED/Pediatric ED setting
- Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Assist physicians and RNs during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and records
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care
- Support patient and family education regarding treatment plans
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Recent Pediatric experience in a hospital setting required
- Emergency Department (ED) or Pediatric ED experience preferred
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program
Licensure & Certifications (Required):
- Active LPN/LVN License (State of New York or compact if applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Additional Requirements
- Strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency care environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
