The Chief Operating Officer Marshfield provides strategic and operational leadership for the Central region of Marshfield Clinic including Marshfield Neillsville Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids sites ensuring high-quality efficient and patient-centered care across the facilities and in conjunction with the Marshfield Clinic Health Network. This role reports to the President/Chief Executive Officer and partners closely with physician nursing and administrative leaders to drive clinical excellence operational performance and financial sustainability while advancing access to care in our communities. The COO has the unique opportunity to lead two mission-driven medical centers shape system initiatives at the local level and make a meaningful impact on rural healthcare delivery within the Marshfield Clinic region.

Summary

Responsible of the development of projects strategies and business ventures for an assigned market.

Apply advanced technical knowledge of health care center operations along with external market practices to solve highly complex challenges.

Job Description

Responsible for the overall integration efforts within the clinics and between the clinic medical center and all central service corporate departments including clinical care employee and physician relations as well as other activities related to the integration between the clinic and other parts of the enterprise. Plan direct organize and evaluate the implementation of strategic operational plans that align with system goals to deliver high-quality cost-effective care of services with a positive that the philosophy goals and objectives remain consistent with the overall mission values and strategic plan of the enterprise leaders regarding the markets community financial growth people risk safety quality and service matters. Must demonstrate skills in interpersonal relationships medical staff relations planning development project management information management reimbursement contract negotiation/understanding grant writing and marketing.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in health care administration business or related field required. Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) or a masters degree in a related field preferred.

Minimum of seven years of experience in health care administration with increasing responsibilities required. Minimum of ten years of health care management experience and at least five years of senior leadership experience as a chief operating officer senior operations officer or chief executive officer in a progressive financially sound hospital system preferred.

Membership in a professional health care management organization such as the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) preferred.
