Licensed Specialist School Psychologist Interns (LSSP Interns) Multiple Positions 2026-2027 School Year

Job Summary
Required Bachelors Degree from an accredited university
Required Current enrollment in a School Psychology Program Board approved (or in progress of approval) agreement between the District and the Interns university to ensure that program requirements are met to pursue licensure upon completion of the internship and graduation (conferred degree)
Experience Required Entry Level Psychology Program
Knowledge of the procedures for administration and interpretation of a wide variety of cognitive achievement emotional and behavioral instruments
Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies including behavior management interventions
Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships with parents and district employees
Keep and compile records and develop detailed reports
Demonstrated ability to resolve logistical and operational problems; make data driven decisions
Ability to meet established deadlines
Knowledge of special education principles theories and laws (federal and state)
Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
Utilize a variety of assessment instruments and multiple sources of data which includes classroom observations; interviews of teachers parents student; attendance reports; discipline records; and state/local assessment data to assist in disability determination
Score analyze and interpret evaluation results as well as incorporate multiple sources of data to complete Full and Individual Evaluations within mandated timelines
Attend Admission Review and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to present evaluation findings assist the committee with eligibility determination and recommend appropriate instructional interventions and placement to develop an Individual Education Plan (IEP) that adequately supports student needs
Participate in case management activities in collaboration with campus staff to ensure students receive services outlined in the IEP
Participate in Manifestation Determination (MD) ARD meetings to discuss opinions on the relationship between disability and disciplinary infraction
Provide counseling services including related service evaluations to students with these services in their IEPs using evidence-based interventions; document implementation of services in special education tracking system; and monitor student progress on counseling goals
Work closely and consistently with the clinical supervising psychologist to gain guidance feedback and support ensuring that all goals and expectations are met while fostering ongoing learning and growth in the professional practice.
Actively engage in professional development (PD) activities and attend weekly individual and group supervision meetings to enhance professional growth and ensure the effective delivery of psychological services.
Accurately document and maintain records of all activities in accordance with the requirements and guidelines set forth by the university program.
Maintain professional competency by keeping abreast of current trends in evaluation instructional strategies ethics and special education laws
Engage in professional behaviors that reflect integrity accountability and moral standards
