Job Summary

Senior Analyst Compliance

The Contract Compliance Team is responsible for managing contracts and driving compliance activities for all types of contracts including key federal state and local government. As a member of the Thomson Reuters (TR) Enabling Functions of the General Counsels Office this role will report directly to the Manager of Contracts & Compliance. We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst with strong experience in obligations management and implementing obligations management into Contract Lifecycle Management Systems (CLMS). This role acts as a safeguard against legal financial and reputational damage by fostering a culture of compliance across the organization.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Senior Analyst Compliance you will be responsible for:

  • Obligation Identification & Mapping:Researching new laws regulations and industry standards to update company policies procedures and internal controls.
  • Tracking and Documentation:Maintain monitor and update compliance obligations in a centralized repository or system.
  • Auditing and Monitoring:Conducting regular internal audits and inspections to verify compliance including desk and onsite reviews.
  • Risk Mitigation:Identifying compliance breaches analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions to management.
  • Reporting:Preparing detailed reports on compliance status findings from audits and risk assessments for senior management.
  • Coordinating with Legal on contract requirements for obligation management.
  • Developing compliance training materials and presenting to business partners.
  • Collaborating heavily with key internal business partners (e.g. sales organization finance legal counsel order mgmt.).
  • Preparing detailed documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Keeping accurate records and files related to Ownership of Obligations and best practices for Issue Management.
  • Contributing to ongoing development of best practices and streamlining of processes and tools for automation.
  • Leading contracts & compliance projects and initiatives working closely with the Manager and colleagues.
  • Leading or assisting with miscellaneous projects as assigned including ad hoc reports or specific needs for the department.

About You

You are a fit for the role of Senior Analyst Compliance if your background includes:

  • Ability to design and implement automated data extraction processes from CLMS plus validate data accuracy to quality standards.
  • Working knowledge of the financial/customer-to-cash aspects of ERP systems especially SAP tables and data structures.
  • Familiarity with the CLMS and ERP technologies is beneficial.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Law or related field from an accredited college.
  • Preferably 5 years relevant experience in contract administration legal compliance or procurement roles.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Adept at analyzing and understanding contracts and various legal documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills plus exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain productive working relationships with internal and external business customers.
  • Attention to detail including follow-up and final resolution skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving/troubleshooting skills technical aptitude; ability to learn technologies quickly.
  • Experience in a technology or software company preferred experience with contract management software.
  • History of compliance work with Government regulations

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations unless otherwise noted the base compensation range for this role is $74200 USD - $137800 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individuals knowledge skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
