Job Summary
Position Summary
Drivers are responsible to safely transport and transfer merchandise from corporate warehouse to individual showroom stores while also supporting daily warehouse operations. This role will organize stores warehouse or backroom areas and assist in setting up showroom bed displays. Ensures timely deliveries accurate inventory handling and efficient loading and unloading of materials. May pick up merchandise from vendors or deliver merchandise to customer.
Essential Functions
- Receives instructions for the days transfer truck deliveries (delivers between Sit n Sleeps showroom stores) and paperwork outlining the merchandise to be transferred from corporate warehouse and stores receiving merchandise.
- Will unload/load merchandise to and from stores and use lift-gate to load and offload.
- Will organize the merchandise in the individual store floor and warehouse/backrooms and straighten these areas.
- May move beds to different areas of the showroom floor while at the store.
- May deliver and set up merchandise for guest.
- Will call and pick up new merchandise from vendors business site.
- Will prepare product in stores to be returned to the Distribution Center or to be delivered to guest.
- Will setup new stores and move the product on the floors.
- Lead of the driving team and is responsible for ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy of delivered and returned or picked up product.
- Responsible for ensuring stores are satisfied with tasks done at stores.
- Must be fluent in English so as to communicate with others both in writing and verbally.
- Will ensure vehicles are in safe condition by performing vehicle inspection report daily.
- Ensure company property and equipment are cleaned organized and safe.
- Will work Weekends holidays and different hours as workload dictates.
- Will use IPAD to enter and confirm information of product shipping product being picked up and for daily PIV and Vehicle inspections.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products from vendors and internal and external delivery trucks.
- Move materials to and from loading docks delivery trucks storage areas and inspect areas to racks and other areas of the DC.
- Receive product correctly into company inventory via scanner.
- Put away product timely accurately via scanner.
- Receive product from delivery and transfer trucks and attach labels and paperwork to product change warehouse data in warehouse management system and in Dispatch Track.
- Inspect product and sanitize them and ensure in saleable condition.
- Inspect product and decompress/repair/touchup to ensure in saleable condition.
- Perform and report cycle counts.
- Accompany drivers to make deliveries and pickups to customers stores and vendors.
- Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
- Operate trucks forklifts and other PIV equipment to move freight.
- Complete a PIV inspection checklist daily.
- Responsible for ensuring all areas of the Distribution Center are clean and organized and product is safely and securely stored.
- Dispose of obsolete or damaged product in proper disposal dumpsters/trash cans.
- Pick and stage product for shipments for customers delivery teams and internal and external customers.
- Process orders for LTL and parcel shipments.
- Meet company PPH standards for picking inspect and receiving departments.
- Will work Weekends holidays and different hours as workload dictates.
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added to the companys discretion.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
- Typical office environment with standard equipment and tasks.
- Position requires work at a computer/video display terminal and desk for extensive periods of time.
- Must Be Willing to Work Overtime Holidays and Rotating Shifts.
Physical Demands
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required for this position.
- Requires regular twisting/turning/squatting/bending/reaching/lifting and prolonged periods at a stationary/mobile workstation.
- Ability to lift 80 pounds.
- Ability to maneuver any weight above 200 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.

Required Education and Experience
Education
- High school diploma required
Experience
- Valid California Drivers License (with clean driving record)
- 3-5 years experience with driving bobtail trucks and any commercial vehicle
- Maintain a good driving record with no moving or reckless violations.
- Customer Service a plus.
Training Requirements
- California Class A and C license
