Job Summary
Job Description
Provide athletic training services and care for all WIT student athletes. Provide athletic training coverage/services for in-season and post season varsity and junior varsity events. Work with assigned sports team per discretion of the athletic director. Occasional travel with WIT athletic teams for post-season championship events. Adhere to update and implementation of emergency action plans for WIT athletic venues. Supervision of local university graduate athletic training students. Coordinate and communicate required student athlete paperwork for medical eligibility. Maintain accurate and up to date medical records for all treatments and evaluations performed. Communicate with coaches and physicians regarding status of WIT student athletes. Administration of athletic training room policies and procedures. Demonstrates WITs core mission vision and values. Can make decisions in matters of significance regarding referral of medical conditions to proper providers. Specific Duties assigned to this position. Coordination communication and delivery of all required medical forms for WIT student athletes. Delivery and coordination of Physicals and/or baseline testing codes to WIT student athletes. Other duties as assigned. This is a full-time grade 7 administrative position with an annual salary of $54063. Physical Demands
The employee frequently is required to sit for periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard telephone and basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle or utility vehicle. Must be ablet to stand for at least 4 straight hours. Must be able to perform a heavy workload. (Lift at least 50lbs to waist level) Must be able to run/jog 100 yards without stopping and able to see 100 yards with or without corrective lenses
Required Qualifications
Masters degree from an accredited athletic training program. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate in both small and large group settings and with diverse groups of people including co-workers students coaches and administration. Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines to maintain and access paper and electronic files. Basic use of Apple/Microsoft Office products (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint) Ability to read write and speak English fluently. Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenges of helping other people. Ability to function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced student athlete-oriented team. Professional in communications appearance relationships and responsiveness. Positive attitude. Ability to always maintain strict confidentiality including HIPPA requirements regarding medical records. Self-starter with the ability to perform with little or no direct supervision. Ability to adapt to changing schedules due to weather venue availability or other unforeseen circumstances.
