Service Plumber

Job Title: Service Plumber

Job Summary:

The Service Plumber is responsible for installing repairing and maintaiing pipes fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in commerical and industrial buidlings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes drainage systems and other plumbing materials
• Install pipes and fixtures such as sinks and toilets for water gas steam air or other liquids
• Install supports for pipes equipment and fixtures prior to installation
• Assemble fittings and valves for installation
• Modify length of pipes fixtures and other plumbing materials as needed for a building
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems
• Perform scheduled maintenance
• Service and repair domestic plumbing appliances and fixtures
• Adhere to safety standards and building codes
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards manufacturer specifications and applicable codes

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proven experience as a plumber Journeyman required
• Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in commercial and industrial environments
• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches pipe cutters plungers etc.)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly and professional demeanor
• Valid drivers license and Plumbing License
• Ability to work independently and handle complex systems
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent customer service skills and abilities.
• Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks.
