Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join the team at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. The ideal candidate will have expertise in performing MRI procedures in both acute care and outpatient settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a team dedicated to providing excellent care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI scans on patients of all ages (neonate to older adult)
Imaging areas include chest abdomen pelvis head musculoskeletal trauma and spine (cervical thoracic lumbar) both with and without contrast
Administer contrast media and prepare for imaging procedures
Start peripheral IVs as needed
Maintain strict adherence to infection control and isolation precautions
Document patient information and imaging results using EPIC (1 year of experience required)
Float to other units or campuses as necessary based on census and qualifications (as per Prisma Health policy)
Required Certifications:
ARRT(R)(CT) Registered Radiologic Technologist with MRI certification
BLS Basic Life Support
Active SC QRSA license
Required Experience:
1 year of MRI experience in adult acute care and outpatient settings
Proficiency in all aspects of MRI imaging including contrast media preparation and administration
Experience with MRI equipment including Client Philips Siemens Toshiba and PACS systems
Familiarity with patient care and safety protocols for MRI procedures
