ASSISTANT MENS AND WOMENS SWIM COACH

Bridgewater College a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Swim Coach to begin July 2026. This is a full-time position reporting to the Head Mens and Womens Swim Coach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Head Coach in all facets of a Division III Mens and Women Swimming program
  • Organizing and conducting on deck coaching
  • Assisting in recruiting prospective student athletes who fit the mission of the culture of the program and college
  • Assisting the program with marketing and branding on a multitude of platforms including social media
  • Provide mentoring and support for the student athletes particularly in regards to academic and player development
  • Complying with all NCAA conference and college policies and regulations
  • Assist with any community service and fundraising initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Prior collegiate coaching experience preferably on the collegiate level.
  • Basic competency in Microsoft Office with specific skills in Excel preferred
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and be insurable by the colleges auto insurance carrier

Pay is competitive and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.

Located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley just minutes outside of Harrisonburg and within driving distance of Charlottesville Washington D.C. and Richmond Bridgewater is home to a total student body of approximately 1450 from 27 states and 19 countries. Bridgewater students study more than 60 majors and minors in addition to four graduate programs and 10 pre-professional programs.
