Position Summary
A well-established not-for-profit community hospital is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join its outpatient primary care practice in Shelton Connecticut. This is a full-time permanent opportunity focused on delivering high-quality patient-centered care to an adult population in a collaborative clinical environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine preventive care and chronic disease management. The physician will manage a wide range of adult conditions including diabetes hypertension cardiovascular disease and other acute and chronic illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient care to adult patients including evaluation diagnosis and treatment
Perform routine physical exams preventive screenings and health assessments
Manage acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes hypertension and cardiovascular diseases
Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work and imaging
Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
Educate patients on disease prevention wellness and lifestyle modifications
Collaborate with specialists and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care programs
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
Active Connecticut medical license (or eligibility)
Open to both experienced physicians and recent graduates
Strong clinical judgment communication and patient care skills
