Job Summary
The Head Boys Wrestling Coach is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the high school wrestling program. This includes developing student-athletes skills promoting sportsmanship overseeing assistant coaches and ensuring compliance with school district and state athletic regulations.
- Plan organize and conduct daily practices conditioning programs and competitions
- Develop individual and team strategies to maximize performance and growth
- Foster a positive disciplined and inclusive team culture
- Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and support staff
- Monitor student-athletes academic progress and promote academic accountability
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants including proper use of equipment and injury protocols
- Coordinate match schedules travel arrangements and tournament participation
- Maintain inventory and oversee care of equipment and facilities
- Communicate effectively with players parents school staff and administration
- Ensure compliance with district policies and state athletic association rules
- Organize offseason training camps and youth program development
