Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline;
• A minimum of 12 years relevant experience in railway systems metro operations or infrastructure projects of which 5 years should be at managerial level
• Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution
• Proven experience managing complex technical systems and multi-disciplinary teams with strong problem solving and decision making capabilities
• Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organisation and influence without direct authority
• Strong leadership stakeholder management and communication skills with sound commercial and operational judgement
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); willingness to undertake frequent business travel

Remarks

• Appointment will be made on a two-year renewable contract basis

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and governance across rolling stock infrastructure and systems for MTR International Business ensuring compliance with safety legislation standards and corporate requirements
• Develop implement and enhance technical standards assurance frameworks and best practices to drive safety efficiency and cost optimization
• Act as the primary technical authority advising on projects operations business development and coordinating technical support with Headquarters and regional hubs
• Oversee technical risk management engineering change and safety assurance across the full asset lifecycle including design testing commissioning and handover
• Support major projects and bids and build effective relationships with regulators operators maintainers and external consultants
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams to foster a highperformance safetydriven culture
