Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Inpatient
Location: Seaside OR 97138
Shift: Day Shift (5x8-Hour)
Schedule: 09:30 AM 06:00 PM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Orientation: 40 Hours
Overview:
A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacy Technician for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will support pharmacy operations in a critical access hospital setting ensuring accurate medication preparation and distribution while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Facility Details:
- Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital
- Total Staffed Beds: 23
- Charting System: Epic
- Parking: Free
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Perform IV admixture of non-hazardous medications
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
- Support inventory management and medication storage
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and healthcare teams
Work Schedule & Requirements:
- No floating between units
- No on-call requirements
- Weekend shifts required (10-hour shifts 07:30 AM 06:00 PM; consecutive weekends)
- Block scheduling not available
- 48-hour workweeks not approved
Required Qualifications:
- Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician license (in hand)
- Recent travel or inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
- Experience with IV admixture (non-hazardous medications required)
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
