The Clinical Supervisor assures delivery of safe high quality and cost effective care provided by competent co-workers. They ensure efficient utilization of available resources to meetproductivity and financial goals. Clinical Supervisor is accountable for appropriate unit staffing. Clinical Supervisor is proactively involved in patient flow and bed management issues in collaboration with the Staffing Office and Patient Placement. Clinical Supervisor performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Mission Values and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Supervisor - Med/Surg 5E

Location: Mercy Hospital South 10010 Kennerly Rd St. Louis MO 63128
Schedule: Weekend Option Full-Time 36 hours/week

Overview

Join our team at Mercy Hospital South as a Medical Surgical Clinical Supervisor where youll play a key role in ensuring safe highquality and costeffective patient this leadership role you will guide and support clinical teams promote a culture of excellence and help shape the future of patient care through servant leadership.

What Youll Do

  • Lead and support competent compassionate coworkers in delivering exceptional patient care.

  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and collaborate closely with the Staffing Office on patient flow and bed management.

  • Use resources efficiently to meet productivity and financial goals.

  • Partner with clinical leadership physicians and administrative teams to enhance workflows and improve processes across the continuum of care.

  • Inspire and model a shared visionencouraging change professional growth and continuous improvement.

  • Mentor guide and empower coworkers to become leaders of change within the organization.

  • Provide meaningful recognition and foster a positive engaging team culture through servant leadership.

  • Hold direct and indirect caregivers accountable for professional responsibilities adherence to policies and regulatory standards.

  • Participate in performance evaluations in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.

  • Demonstrate Mercys Mission Values and Service Standards in all interactions.

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing

  • Nursing Diploma

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience

Certifications:

  • Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education:BSN preferred

  • Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred

  • Experience:Prior management experience - experience within change management

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to push pull and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift

  • Ability to grip reach bend kneel twist and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
