ENSTAR is currently hiring for the summer season with positions that typically run from May 1 2026 through October 31 2026.
What You Will Do:
As a Cybersecurity Intern you will play an essential role within our Anchorage Cybersecurity department reporting to the Manager of Cybersecurity. The Cybersecurity Intern under direct supervision is responsible for providing basic technical support to end-users for software applications hardware and networking needs. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide initial contact point for technical support training for desktop applications and computer hardware and software.
- Maintain Cybersecurity service requests and incident tickets escalating and assigning to other technicians as necessary.
- Build/image computers using prescribed tools and processes.
What You Will Bring:
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of technical security and/or customer support experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and Microsoft Windows 10/11 OS.
- Working knowledge of networking.
- Must possess a valid Alaska Drivers License and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the ENSTARs Driving Policy.
- Ability to pass a background past employment credit drug and driving record screening.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.
- Good working knowledge of information technology.
- Ability to learn new applications and skills.
- Excellent organizational analytical and judgement skills with the ability to confidentially process and maintain data.
- Ability to be self-motivated.
