Senior Sales Specialist High-Performance Sales Role/ Sales CareerAbout the RoleDoctors Health Fund is a private health insurer built for doctors and the medical community. As we continue to grow we have an opportunity for a Senior Sales Specialist to join our Sydney this role youll act as a trusted expert and key contributor to the growth of Doctors Health with qualified leads youll lead needs-based conversations with prospective and existing members confidently navigating more complex scenarios and recommending tailored health insurance solutions. Your focus will be on delivering strong commercial outcomes while ensuring members feel informed and supported in their decisions. Youll bring deep product knowledge and a strong understanding of systems and processes enabling you to consistently deliver high conversion retention and upgrade outcomes. Beyond your individual performance youll contribute to team success by sharing knowledge supporting others and helping improve how we work. Youll also bring a willingness to support others sharing your knowledge to lift team capability and are someone who:Brings experience in sales and/or retention within a complex or regulated environment with a track record of achieving strong resultsUses advanced needs-based selling and objection handling skills to navigate conversations and influence outcomesCommunicates clearly and professionally building trust and rapport with a wide range of membersDemonstrates strong commercial awareness with an understanding of sales drivers and customer valueIs highly organised detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities effectivelyHas strong systems literacy and the ability to quickly learn and apply complex product system and regulatory informationBrings experience coaching mentoring and supporting others to develop their capabilityKey duties include:Consistently achieving or exceeding sales retention and upgrade targetsManaging complex inbound and outbound opportunities leading needs-based conversations to maximise member outcomesIdentifying and acting on cross-sell and retention opportunities to grow member lifetime valueActing as a subject matter expert across products (including Overseas Visitors Health Cover) systems and processesSupporting team capability through coaching mentoring and sharing best practiceProviding guidance on complex member scenarios and escalationsDelivering high-quality personalised member interactions particularly in complex or sensitive situationsEnsuring all activities meet quality compliance and regulatory standardsContributing to continuous improvement across sales processes systems and workflowsCollaborating with internal teams to deliver strong member and commercial outcomesTo be successful you will have:Demonstrated success in a sales and/or retention role consistently achieving or exceeding targetsExperience working in a regulated or complex product environment (health insurance or financial services highly regarded)Advanced communication skills with the ability to lead confident needs-based conversations and manage objections effectivelyStrong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities to drive conversion retention and member valueProven ability to manage complex member scenarios and provide clear considered solutionsExperience using CRM systems and sales tools to manage pipelines track performance and maintain accurate recordsHigh attention to detail and ability to balance quality compliance and sales outcomesA proactive solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyExperience coaching mentoring or supporting team members to improve capability and performanceWhy join Doctors Health FundWere part of the Avant Mutual Group and are proud to be a health fund owned by doctors not shareholders.
