About the Team

The Secure Delivery Platforms enable engineers across the enterprise by delivering secure scalable and reliable DevOps and CICD capabilities. The team owns GitLab as a strategic SDLC platform focusing on operational excellence governance and AI-native delivery to improve Developer Experience and accelerate business outcomes.

About the Role

As a Senior Platform Engineer you are a hands-on technical owner responsible for designing operating and continuously improving GitLab SaaS Terraform Cloud and CICD Automation at enterprise scale. You partner closely with internal platform security and product teams to deliver resilient DevOps capabilities while embedding AI-assisted workflows into all aspects of platform engineering and software delivery.

Core Responsibilities

- Manage Gitlab Platform (SaaS) and Terraform Cloud including internal infrastructure and automation to meet scalability reliability and modernization objectives in compliance with SSDLC and Security standards

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines runners templates and shared components

- Develop maintain and evangelize IaC by building modules guardrails policy as code and additional automation and integrations with Enterprise Platforms

- Integrate AI-assisted capabilities into CI/CD code review incident response and operational workflows

- Promote responsible and governed use of AI tooling aligned with enterprise AI standards

- Build and operate Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps workflows

- Automate access management provisioning and lifecycle workflows

- Own operational readiness observability and on-call responsibilities for platform services

- Capture and monitor metrics related to platform usage flow and operational health

- Identify trends gaps and friction points proposing data-driven improvements

- Provide insights to inform platform roadmap and investment decisions

- Develop documentation runbooks reference architectures and best practices

- Enable self-service adoption through templates and automation

- Contribute to communities of practice through demos office hours and enablement sessions
