Job Summary

Job role: Power BI Analyst

Duration: 3-6 Month Contract to Hire

Location: Hybrid 3 days onsite in Morristown NJ

Responsibilities:

Develop deploy and maintain Power BI solutions using the Power BI Service.
Leverage REST APIs within Power BI to automate a daily refresh schedule.
Create manage and enhance Dataflows with a focus on Dataflow Gen2.
Build and optimize semantic models for efficient reporting and analytics.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Ensure data accuracy consistency and security across all BI solutions.
Provide technical support and training to end users.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience with Power BI Service (not just Power BI Desktop).
Advanced semantic modeling expertise in Power BI environments.
Demonstrable experience with Dataflow Gen2.
Hands-on experience integrating and automating Power BI solutions using REST APIs.
Strong proficiency with DAX and Power Query (M language).
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Azure Data Services and cloud-based data architectures.
Familiarity with data governance security and compliance best practices.
Knowledge of Databricks is a plus.
