Job Summary
Sr Data Analyst Job Summary (Bullet List Format)
- Position Title: Sr Data Analyst
- Work Location: 100% Telecommute (Connecticut-based project)
- Work Hours: 8am 5pm EST
- Project Overview:
- Supporting implementation of Optums Enterprise Data Warehouse & Analytics solution for the State of Connecticut
- 20-month initiative including operational State and Federal reporting (MARS T-MSIS)
- Key Responsibilities:
- Solicit review analyze and write both functional and non-functional business requirements
- Perform requirements gathering and validation working closely with SMEs and customers
- Analyze database data Power BI/Tableau dashboards data lineage and backend integrations
- Support Medicaid contract needs including mapping and creating State and Federal reports (MARS T-MSIS)
- Manage project controls (issues risks requirements scope schedules)
- Complete source-to-target mapping for reporting and analytics
- Required Skills & Experience:
- 3 years: Business requirements solicitation review analysis and documentation
- 3 years: Requirements gathering and validation
- 3 years: Healthcare industry experience (operations/implementations data warehouse data analysis decision support)
- 2 years: Managing project controls (issues risks scope schedules)
- Proven experience: Power BI and/or Tableau dashboards SQL
- Strong skills with Microsoft Word PowerPoint Visio and Excel
- Ability to analyze database data and data lineage
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Snowflake Power BI SQL
- Direct Medicaid experience (Claims Member Provider) MARS or T-MSIS
- Ideal Candidate Background:
- Healthcare industry specifically Medicaid reporting and analytics
- Direct experience creating and mapping State and Federal Medicaid reports
- Team Structure:
- Matrixed implementation team with PMO leadership; reports to State and Federal Reporting Manager
- Interview Process:
- 1-2 rounds video interviews
- Technical focus especially on database analysis skills
- Professional License/Certification: Not required
- Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US for the assignment duration
