Title: Business Process Lead (Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) (Autodesk Fusion Manage)
Location: Hybrid remote Hanover MD) (2 days per week onsite) within 100 miles of Hanover MD that can travel onsite (just sometimes) that person will get interviewed first
Duration: 6 Months
Hiring Managers NOTE: This is a business leadership role responsible for defining standardizing and operationalizing engineering processes that will be enabled by PLM.
The role will act on behalf of the Head of Engineering to ensure business requirements are clearly defined decisions are made in a timely manner and adoption is achieved across the organization.
Must Have:
Business Process Lead experience 4 current years as a LEAD
9 years experience as a Business Process Analyst working their way up to Business Process Lead (last 4 current years as a Business Process Lead)
Focuses on process adoption and business outcomesnot just system deployment
9 years of experience in engineering manufacturing or product development environments
Proven experience leading PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) implementations and adoptions from the business side
Define business reporting requirements (e.g. change cycle timerelease statusengineering throughput)
Define data standards governance and ownership - Ensure readiness for migration into PLM
MUST HAVE - Current and Direct experience with Autodesk Fusion Manage along with similar PLM platforms

This is a business leadership role responsible for defining standardizing and operationalizing engineering processes that will be enabled by PLM.

This individual will own business process design data readiness and change management working in close partnership with IT who will lead the technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Process Ownership & Design
Lead definition and standardization of core engineering processes including:
Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECR)
Part and BOM management
Document control and release processes
Product structure governance
Facilitate working sessions with engineering manufacturing quality and supply chain stakeholders
Translate business needs into clear actionable process requirements for configuration in PLM
Drive decision-making and resolve process ambiguity or conflicts
2. Program Leadership (Business Side)
Act as the primary business representative for the PLM program
Attend and actively participate in all core project meetings
Partner closely with IT and implementation partners to ensure alignment between process design and system configuration
Track and drive completion of business-side deliverables including process documentation and approvals
3. Data Readiness & Migration Oversight
Lead business effort for data cleanup and preparation (parts BOMs documents)
Define data standards governance and ownership
Ensure readiness for migration into PLM
Validate migrated data meets business requirements
4. Change Management & Adoption
Develop and execute a business-led change management strategy
Define training needs and support development of training materials
Establish adoption metrics and success criteria
Act as a champion for process discipline and PLM usage across engineering teams
5. Reporting & Business Insights
Define business reporting requirements (e.g. change cycle time release status engineering throughput)
Ensure PLM supports meaningful operational and leadership reporting
Partner with IT to deliver dashboards and insights aligned to business goals
Required:
9 years experience as a Business Process Analyst working their up to Business Process Lead (last 4 years as a Business Process Lead)
9 12 years of experience in engineering manufacturing or product development environments
Proven experience leading PLM implementations from the business side
Strong background in engineering process design and governance
Demonstrated success driving organizational change and adoption
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering operations and supply chain teams
Ability to lead without direct authority and drive decisions in complex environments
Direct experience with Autodesk Fusion Manage AND other similar PLM platforms
Experience in mid-to-large scale enterprise environments
Familiarity with regulated or highly structured product development environments
Critical Success Factors
