WAREHOUSE & LOGISTICS COORDINATORII
OVERVIEW
Performs administrative and clerical duties to ensure accuracy of documentationregardingshipping and receiving operations. Directs andparticipatesin proceduresto safely load store and move materials within the warehouse and production areas. Uses physical tasks computers packing equipment and various communication and coordination skills to manage and control a functional subsection of the overall inventory control operation. Is accountable for the results achieved in the area assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Followall departmental and quality procedures by assuring that products are prepared for shipments properly and delivered according to specified target date windows.
- Proactively overseesmaterialcontrol operations and makes personnel equipment and resource recommendations to ensure on-time completion and delivery to all downstream internal/external operations.
- Performs all required AX transactions and paperwork preparation. Respondsin a timely mannertoexpediterequests and inquiries.
- Works to find process efficiency and process improvementsin order tomeet or exceed KPIs for the area assigned.
- Monitors AX reports on key area informationfrequentlythroughout the day.
- Monitors needed supplies andordersreplacement materials when needed. Is knowledgeableonmaterial shortages.
- Organizesworkflowto meet prioritization rules and guidelines.
- Reports regularly to management on assigned area operational metrics to include continued departmental improvements.
- Continuallyensurethat all safety procedures arefollowedand areas of responsibility are clean and organized.
- Verifies accuracy of records on incoming and outgoing shipments andmaintainsfilesofrecords.
- Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel for repairs.
- Collaborates with Customer Service and Plant Management to ensure any special shipping requirements are met.
- Performs weekly manual inventory of warehouse.
- Serves on related committees andparticipatesin meetings asrequired.
- Actively supports the defined goals andobjectivesof the company.
- Projects a professional total-quality image in all aspects of this position.
- Performs other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 3years of relatedwarehouse/material controlexperience.
- 3 years of data entry experience.
- Proficiencyin basic math skills.
- Working knowledge of UPS and FedEx shipping software.
- MS Officeproficiency(Word Excel Outlook etc.)
- Typingspeed ofat least 40 WPM.
- Ability tomultitask
- Good understanding of warehouse practices and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good oral and written business communication skills.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Up to10% travel may be required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job employees may be required towalkfor prolonged periods of timefrequentlybending climbing rotating squatting reaching kneelingor stooping lifting up to25pounds andperiods of computer use.
Employeesmay befrequentlyexposed to heat/cold heights gases vibration dust chemicals odors dampness fumes and noises.
