This posting will be used to fill one (1) full-time permanent position working 75 hours biweekly with Home Care and one (1) term part-time position until September 2 2026 working 60 hours biweekly with Home Care. This posting will also be used to fill one (1) term position from May 19 2026 to January 1 2027 working 75 hours biweekly in Long-Term Care (LTC).

This competition will be used to establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill anticipatory full-time and part-time permanent term AOC and casual vacancies for both LTC and Home Care.

Long-Term Care (LTC) provides resident-centered care to individuals who require assistance with various levels of daily living activities. LTC aims to create a sense of belonging and a home-like environment for all residents in Yukon Continuing Care homes by responding to the unique needs of each individual. The services range from intermediate care to end-of-life care (Hospice) focusing on the comfort care and quality of life for individuals with serious illnesses approaching the end of life.

The Yukon Home CareProgramprovides client-focused health services in the home improving quality of life and supporting Yukoners to live independently. Home Care offers a range of services tailored to meet individual needs including support for acute care chronic and palliative conditions. These services are determined through standardized assessments to assist in creating individualized plans of care; and are supported by an interdisciplinary team consisting of Physiotherapists Occupational Therapists Registered Nurses Social Workers Recreational Therapists and Home Support Workers.

Your role

Long-term Care (LTC): We are looking for a dynamic individual to provide clinical care services for clients who require therapy services in the Long-Term Care. The Physiotherapist is responsible forproviding professional physiotherapy services including: resident assessment treatment/interventions development of comprehensive care plans for individuals of all ages with a broad range of physical and psycho-social disabilities to enhance maintain or restore each clients ability to function at an optimal level in all chosen roles. The Physiotherapist will work to build positive working relationships with key stakeholders based on mutual trust and respect and work collaboratively with other health care professionals and community partners.

Home Care: We are looking for dynamic individuals to provide clinical care services for clients who require therapy services in the community of Whitehorse. The Physiotherapist is responsible for providing professional physiotherapy services and care coordination services including; client assessments treatments/interventions development of comprehensive care plans for individuals of all ages with a broad range of physical and psycho-social disabilities to enhance maintain or restore each clients ability to function at an optimal level in all chosen roles. Essential qualifications

• Masters degree in Physiotherapy
• Recent experience as a Physiotherapist providing assessment and treatment

Conditions of employment

You must meet the following conditions before being hired or within the time frame noted.

• TB screening
• WHMIS 2015
• CPR Level C with AED (completed within last 30 months)
• Vulnerable Sector RCMP Security Clearance
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License
• A valid & current license to practice physiotherapy in the Yukon obtained through The Professional Licensing & Regulatory Affairs Branch (Community Services)
