The Central Virginia Health District (CVHD) is seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Office Services Specialist Supervisor to support its mission of protecting and promoting the health of communities across Amherst Appomattox Bedford Campbell and Lynchburg.
This role oversees daily administrative operations ensures efficient workflow and provides leadership to office support staff in a fastpaced public health environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills initiative and the ability to guide a team in delivering highquality customer service to both internal programs and the public. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum KSAs:
Considerable knowledge of supervisory principals/practices financial guidelines and accounts receivable policies/procedures.
Excellent customer service and communications skills (oral and written)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work and contribute within collaborative relationships including the public

Additional Considerations

  • Considerable experience supervising administrative fiscal and/or clerical staff including oversight of multiple office locations.
  • Experience managing financial processes such as accounts receivable patient and third-party billing deposits and monthly fiscal reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct complex eligibility determinations in a healthcare insurance or public services environment.
  • Experience supporting or managing front-office operations including customer service records requests and workflow coordination.
  • Knowledge of vital records procedures confidentiality requirements and customer-facing service standards.
  • Strong proficiency with billing systems and processes serving as a central point of contact for invoicing and financial documentation.
  • Ability to interpret apply and implement state and local policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff clients and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team manage changing priorities and respond effectively in timesensitive or emergency situations.
