The Graphic Production Specialist is responsible for producing preparing and packaging vinyl graphics used on railcars. This role includes weeding masking cutting and preparing decals for shipment and installation. The Specialist will also operate printing and cutting equipment according to established standards and customer specifications. Attention to detail accuracy and the ability to follow written instructions are essential. All work must beperformedin compliance with company guidelines and safety rules.
Primary responsibilities and essential functions include but are not limited to:
SKILLS/SPECIFICATIONS
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and work orders.
Weed mask cut and prepare vinyl graphics for shipment.
Set up and operate printing and cutting equipment.
Prepare package and label vinyl materials for shipment and installation.
Create daily shipment reports and provide customer updates as needed.
Ability to multitask and follow up on multiple projects in a team environment.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other duties andprojects asassigned by the Repair Manager Repair Supervisor or Team Leader.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma orGED.
Ability toread andcomprehendwork orders.
Basic computer proficiency; ability to learn equipment software.
Able to pass required drug screen and physical.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED
Dependable.Meets standards of punctualityandattendance.
Willingnessto learn new tools technology and processes.
Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
Complies with all safety rules and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand walk bend and perform repetitive hand motions for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
Manual dexterity for handling small or intricate vinyl components.
Ability to sustain visual focus and attention to detail for long periods.
Work around typical shop equipment with exposure to moderate noise.
Work indoors with occasional exposure to varying temperatures depending on facility area.
WORK SITE ENVIRONMENT
Must comply with all safety requirements at all times and lead by example regarding safety.
Primary work environment subject to extreme heat or cold for considerable amounts of time.Must dress accordingly.
Hearing protection shall be required in certain designated areas to noise levels greater than 80 decibels.
Work surfaces may be uneven and some tasks may require navigating around materials or equipment.
