Job Title: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Emergency Department

Location: Anchorage Alaska
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Night Shift 4x10 Hours (5:00 PM 3:00 AM)
Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW) to support patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality psychosocial care crisis intervention and care coordination to patients and families.

Responsibilities:

• Provide psychosocial assessments crisis intervention and emotional support to patients and families
• Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary teams to develop discharge and care plans
• Assist patients with community resources referrals and follow-up care coordination
• Respond to emergency situations including trauma abuse mental health crises and end-of-life care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational policies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards
• Support patient advocacy and ensure culturally competent care
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required

Required Qualifications:

• Active LMSW or LCSW License (State of Alaska or pending accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Emergency Room (ER) experience preferred
• Strong crisis intervention and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments

Additional Requirements:

• Weekend availability required
• No on-call requirement
• Travelers must reside 50 miles from the facility
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
