Job Summary:
The Bilingual Outreach Coordinator for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) is responsible fortheimplementationof the SNAP Outreach program inBurlington Camden Gloucester andSalemCounties. This is a full-time position with a 35-hour work week. The position requires availability for at least one evening per week and one weekend per month.
Duties and Responsibilities:
TheBilingual SNAPOutreachCoordinatorwill provide information about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) andofferapplicationassistancetoindividuals and families.
Under theseniormanagerssupervision they will work asa team memberto achieve the goals of the Food Bank of South Jersey and the state of New Jersey by growing community engagement through strategic public education and advocacy.
Assistclients individually with pre-screening SNAP application submission document submission and answer questions related to SNAP.
Develop and deliver presentations about SNAP to a variety of audiences to promote and inform the community about SNAP.
Manage incoming calls by providing information onSNAP and otherfoodassistanceprograms as needed.
Coordinate SNAP outreach services with related Food Bank of South Jersey programsandother partner efforts.
Represent the Food Bank of South Jersey at community meetings and events through networking public relations and speaking engagements as needed.
Enter and track dataforNJ SNAPmonthly reporting.
Attendrequiredmeetings andtrainingsconducted byNJ SNAP.
Coordinate regularly with internal MarketingCommunicationsand Advocacy teamsto ensure SNAPOutreach work is effectively promoted.
Organize records files and spreadsheets on the SNAP program and related projects as needed.
Adhere to protocolsregardingsecurity and confidentiality to protect personal client information.
Maintain current knowledge and understanding of the SNAP application process.

Skills and Abilities:
Highly organized flexible adaptable and able to multi-task
Excellent oral and written communication skillsin both English and Spanish
Ability to work evenings and weekendsas needed during a35-hour work week
Ability to work outside in all seasons
Ability to travel throughout Burlington Camden Gloucester and Salem counties to promote SNAP and provide SNAP applicationassistance.
Independent worker self-starter and works well with a team and ontheirown
Excellentproficiencyin using ZoomTeams and Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and PowerPoint
Detail oriented excellent record keeping and time management skills
Strong customer service skills
Comfortable working with and can effectively communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and opinions
Ability to safelytransfer35 pounds
Qualifications and Education:
High schooldiploma orGEDrequired
BilingualEnglish/Spanish (written and spoken)required
Clean drivers licenserequired
Ability to work off-site at outdoor outreach eventsrequired
Ability to carry and transport equipment and suppliesrequired
Experience working with diverse groupsrequired
Experience in direct service within social or human service organizationspreferred
Experience working in food insecurity or related non-profit environmentpreferred
Experienceworkingincommunication telemarketing ormarketingpreferred
Volunteer management experiencepreferred
