Job Type: Contract (Local & Travel Opportunities Available)
Shift Options:
- Evening: 5x8-Hour (3:00 PM 11:30 PM)
- Night: 5x8-Hour (11:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support patient care in a long-term care and acute clinical setting. This role requires the ability to perform a wide range of patient care tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established care plans and clinical protocols
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations ensuring comfort and readiness
- Take monitor and accurately record vital signs and patient progress
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and clinical areas
- Administer injections and assist with procedures such as pap smears and other treatments
- Support general administrative duties including scheduling documentation and chart preparation
- Coordinate with insurance providers to obtain authorizations for procedures and treatments
- Communicate with primary care providers to secure referrals and extensions
- Observe document and report patient responses to treatments
- Participate in unit operations and support overall nursing team efficiency
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems effectively
Qualifications
- Active and valid LPN license in the state of New York
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Prior experience in long-term care hospital or clinical settings preferred (not required)
