Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support patient care in a long-term care and acute clinical setting. This role requires the ability to perform a wide range of patient care tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in accordance with established care plans and clinical protocols
Greet and prepare patients for examinations ensuring comfort and readiness
Take monitor and accurately record vital signs and patient progress
Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and procedures
Prepare and maintain examination rooms and clinical areas
Administer injections and assist with procedures such as pap smears and other treatments
Support general administrative duties including scheduling documentation and chart preparation
Coordinate with insurance providers to obtain authorizations for procedures and treatments
Communicate with primary care providers to secure referrals and extensions
Observe document and report patient responses to treatments
Participate in unit operations and support overall nursing team efficiency
Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems effectively
Qualifications
Active and valid LPN license in the state of New York
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Prior experience in long-term care hospital or clinical settings preferred (not required)
